Seven sizes, drawn to scale.
The range runs from a bag the size of a matchbox to one that takes a knitted throw. Seeing them against each other is faster than reading seven pairs of numbers, so here they are at true relative scale.
All seven sizes, drawn to scale against each other. Dimensions are centimetres, width × height — worth checking, because suppliers list these both ways round and a 20 × 28 is not a 28 × 20.
Choose a size to see what it holds.
Packaging that makes a small order look deliberate.
The bag is often the first physical thing a customer touches. These are the four situations we supply them for most, and where to start on size.
Jewellery and small accessories
The small sizes exist for exactly this. A 5 × 5 cm bag holds a pair of studs without swamping them, and a frosted finish stops a R400 pendant arriving in something that looks like a sandwich bag.
Start with 5 × 5 · 7 × 7 · 9 × 9 cm
E-commerce and online stores
A folded tee goes into 20 × 28 and comes out uncreased. The bag also does a second job in a courier satchel: it keeps the garment clean and dry if the outer packaging takes a knock.
Start with 20 × 18 · 20 × 28 · 24 × 35 cm
Scarves, hijabs and premium textiles
A good scarf is ruined by the packet it arrives in. Folded silk or chiffon needs a bag that holds its shape and does not crease it, and the frosted finish lets the colour read through without putting the whole thing on display. This is why premium scarf and hijab sellers use this packaging rather than a flimsy sleeve.
Start with 20 × 18 · 20 × 28 · 24 × 35 cm
Home and side businesses
Fifty units is a real starting quantity, not a token one. It is enough to brand a first product run properly without committing to a pallet of packaging you have nowhere to store.
Start with 7 × 7 · 9 × 9 · 20 × 18 cm
Retail, gifting and events
A printed bag is the cheapest branded thing a customer takes home and keeps. Because the zip reseals, these tend to get reused for storage — which puts your logo in a drawer rather than a bin.

Why frosted rather than clear.
Clear plastic is cheaper to notice and harder to forgive. A matte surface changes how the whole package reads.
Same contents. The frosted bag shows the shape, not the detail.

- Frosted hides handling, clear shows it
- A clear bag shows every fingerprint and scuff it picks up between your table and the customer. The matte surface diffuses all of that, so the bag still looks new after a courier has had it.
- Your print sits on a neutral ground
- Artwork on a clear bag competes with whatever is behind it. On frosted PVC the logo reads against an even, pale surface, which is why a single-colour mark can look considered rather than cheap.
- 80 micron holds its shape
- Thin packaging collapses around whatever is inside it and arrives looking like a bag of laundry. At 80 micron the bag stays square on a shelf and in a courier satchel, which is most of the difference between packaging that looks bought and packaging that looks chosen.
- The zip is why it gets kept
- A heat seal is opened once and thrown away. A zip closes again, so the bag becomes the thing the customer stores the item in — and your branding stays in use long after the sale.

Printing, and what we need from you.
Printing is full colour, which means the number of colours in your logo does not change the price. A photograph is no harder than a single-colour wordmark, so you do not have to simplify your brand to fit the process.
Send whatever artwork you already have. Vector is ideal, a high-resolution PNG is usually fine, and a screenshot of your Instagram logo is not — we will tell you which of those you have before anything goes to print rather than after.
On the smallest bags there is genuinely not much room. A mark that works on a 28 × 40 cm bag may need simplifying at 5 × 5, and we will say so instead of shrinking it until it turns to mud.

What they look like in use.
The same bag does very different work depending on what goes in it. Select any photograph to look closely — on packaging, finish and print quality are the whole decision.
Ordering these alongside pouches or lanyards
Zipper bags sit on the same quote as lanyard pouches and branded lanyards, so a market stall that needs packaging and staff ID gets one price and one delivery date rather than three conversations. Note the minimums differ: 50 units on zipper bags, 100 on pouches and lanyards.
Frosted zipper bags, answered.
Fifty units. That is lower than our 100-unit minimum on lanyard pouches, because a first branded packaging run is usually small. Fifty is a real starting quantity, not a token one — and we publish it rather than asking you to enquire to find out.
Work from the item, not the bag. Stud earrings and rings sit in 5 × 5 cm; pendants and bracelets in 7 × 7; chains and small accessories in 9 × 9. For apparel, a folded t-shirt goes into 20 × 28, a hoodie into 24 × 35, and bulkier or multi-item orders into 28 × 40. The size picker on the frosted zipper bag page draws all seven to scale against each other, which is usually faster than reading dimensions.
No, and this catches people out. We list every size as width × height in centimetres, so 20 × 28 is 20 cm across and 28 cm tall. Some suppliers list the larger number first, which makes the same bag look like a different product. If you are comparing quotes, check which way round each one is written.
Yes. The same product gets sold as a frosted zipper bag, a frosted ziplock bag, a matte PVC ziplock bag and a PVC zip bag, depending who is writing the listing. If you are comparing quotes, the things worth matching are the material, the finish, the dimensions and which way round they are written — not the name.
Yes. Printing is full colour, so a photograph, a gradient or a multi-colour logo costs no more to print than a single-colour mark — there is no per-colour surcharge to design around. Send the artwork you have and we will tell you whether it will hold up at the size you want it.
Eighty micron. That is the standard weight for retail packaging and it is what the bag needs to hold its shape rather than collapsing around the item inside. Thinner film is cheaper and it shows. If your contents are unusually heavy or sharp, say so in the quote and it will be specified against that.
Yes. The seven listed sizes are the ones ordered most often, not the only ones available — custom sizes are made to order. Send the dimensions of the item going inside, in centimetres, and the bag will be specified around it rather than the other way round.
In South Africa. They are manufactured locally rather than imported, which is the reason a 50-unit run is possible at all and why turnaround is measured in working days rather than in shipping weeks.
They are, and it is one of the more common uses. A folded scarf goes into 20 × 28 or 24 × 35 depending on the fabric weight. Silk and chiffon particularly benefit: the bag holds its shape so the fabric is not compressed, and the frosted finish shows the colour through without exposing the whole garment on a shelf.
Partly, and that is the point. The frosted finish is translucent rather than clear, so the contents read as a shape and a colour rather than in full detail. It looks considered on a shelf, it hides the fingerprints and scuffing a bag picks up in transit, and your printed artwork sits on an even pale ground instead of competing with whatever is behind it.
Yes — the closure is a zip, not a heat seal, so it opens and closes repeatedly. In practice customers keep them and use them for storage, which is worth more to you than it sounds: your branding stays in a drawer rather than going into a bin with the packaging.
They are, and the three smallest sizes exist for it. Most suppliers start at 9 × 9 cm, which swamps a pair of studs. Our range starts at 5 × 5 cm, so a small piece arrives in packaging scaled to it rather than rattling around in something four times too big.
