ID Pouches 85 × 110 mm

If you have seen a conference or site ID pouch in South Africa, it was very likely this size. 85 × 110 mm is large enough to read across a room but small enough to wear all day, and it is one of two formats in the range offered in both portrait and landscape as standard. Worth being straight about this one: it is the format most often ordered branded, so going plain is a real trade rather than a free win. Take it when the date outranks the print.

The printing itself is quick. The time goes into getting the artwork right and having you approve the proof — the step that stops five hundred pouches being printed wrong.
Working to a tight deadline? Send the date with your specification and we will work with you on it. If it cannot be done you will be told that, rather than found out later.
Portrait and landscape are different products, not rotations.
Orientation decides which edge the lanyard slot sits on, so it changes how the badge hangs and how your artwork has to be laid out. Rotating a design ninety degrees is not the same as ordering the other orientation. Tell us how the badge needs to be read and we will confirm it before anything is produced.
How it compares to the other sizes
The default for a reason: big enough that a name reads across a room, small enough that nobody is fidgeting with it by mid-afternoon. Two formats here come in portrait and landscape as standard — this one and the A6 — so when orientation is a live question and A6 is too big, this is the size that answers it. Go up to 95 × 125 mm when the badge needs a schedule as well as a name; drop to 58 × 90 mm if what you are actually holding is a plastic card.
The mistake to avoid
"85 × 110" and "110 × 85" are treated as the same thing by some suppliers and as two separate products by others, and a badge that arrives with the slot on the wrong edge hangs sideways. Here it is one pouch in two orientations. State how the badge has to be read rather than the order of the dimensions, and it cannot be misread.
Branding this format
This is the format most often ordered branded rather than plain, because it is big enough for a logo to sit alongside the insert without crowding it. Both orientations take print, but artwork has to be laid out for the orientation you order — a portrait file is not a landscape file rotated.
The lanyard to pair it with
15–20 mm is the guidance, and 20 mm is the width most often paired with this format. If you are ordering it landscape, the wider strap balances the wider pouch better. Our standard branded lanyard is 20 mm with a trigger clip and goes on the same quote.
